What Was
Holding the Site Back?
A travel eSIM brand wins when travellers searching for “eSIM for [destination]” land on the right page. Jet eSIM needed dedicated destination pages, a clean technical foundation, stronger trust signals and a healthier backlink profile to compete.
Thin Destination Coverage
Travellers search by country and region, but the site lacked dedicated landing pages and a central directory to capture that demand.

Technical SEO Errors
SEMrush audits flagged broken internal links, external 403 responses and billing URLs that needed to stay out of search results.
3
Broken Internal Links
Unstable Backlink Profile
A backlink audit found that 35 of 38 guest post links had been dropped, and Web 2.0 links were live but not yet indexed.

Missing Trust Signals
The homepage had no media logos, no social proof and no clear USP section to reassure first-time visitors before they buy.

The Strategy
Technical SEO & Speed
- Blocked billing URLs in robots.txt and used the GSC removal tool
- Applied a noindex hook so billing pages stay excluded after WHMCS or theme updates
- Resolved SEMrush errors, submitted sitemaps and tracked indexing in GSC
- Ran mobile PageSpeed optimization and fixed blog text colour issues
Destination Landing Pages
- Built a parent /esim/ hub with a dynamic grid of flags and page titles
- Published 58 country pages, including the USA, Spain, Australia, Mexico and Vietnam
- Wrote unique SEO content and metadata for every page
- Added a CTA at the end of each country page
Homepage & Backlink Work
- Added a “Loved by Travelers Worldwide” social proof section
- Added an “As Seen On” marquee with USA Today, StreetInsider, Barchart and AP logos
- Refreshed the USP section directly below the hero
- Audited 48 off-page links and reported on retention and indexing
Regional, Global & Linking
- Launched 12 regional pages, from Europe and Asia to the Caribbean and Africa Safari
- Repositioned the Global Plans page as a focused International eSIM page
- Added internal links from all 30 blog posts to key pages
- Updated Elementor to fix layout issues and re-audited in SEMrush

Project Timeline
From technical clean-up to a 70+ page eSIM destination site — delivered and refined over several phases.
Technical SEO & Billing Clean-up
Billing URLs were blocked and removed from search, a noindex hook was added, SEMrush issues were resolved and WordPress URL indexing was tracked and submitted in GSC.
Speed, Indexing & Backlink Audit
Mobile page speed was optimized, indexing requests were submitted for remaining URLs, and a backlink quality audit covered 38 guest post links and 10 Web 2.0 links.
eSIM Hub & Country Pages
The parent /esim/ directory went live with a dynamic grid, followed by country pages for the USA, Greece, Spain, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Austria, Ireland and more, plus internal links and end-of-page CTAs.
Trust Signals & More Countries
The homepage gained social proof, an “As Seen On” media marquee and a refreshed USP section, while 14 more country pages including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Colombia, Norway and the Maldives were published.
Regional & International Expansion
30 new pages were created in September: 12 regional pages, an International eSIM page and 17 country pages. Blogs were interlinked, SEMrush health rose to 98 and an Elementor update fixed layout issues.
