SEO for Therapists and Psychologists
Built Around How Clients Search
SEO for private practices, group practices and psychology clinics across the US.
People looking for care search for a specific need in a specific place. We plan one page for each service and location you offer, make your credentials and consultation steps clear, and report results from Search Console.
What People Search For
Before They Book Care
Searches for care are specific. People name the problem, the type of provider and the place, such as adult autism evaluation in Seattle, and many also ask about format, cost and insurance.
One general therapy page cannot answer all of that. We plan one focused page for each therapy format, specialty and evaluation type you actually offer, with a clear path to book a consultation.
We combine local SEO, technical SEO and on-page SEO into one plan, and we keep claims and credentials accurate for a regulated profession.
What Our Therapist SEO
Work Includes
SERVICE PAGE PLAN
One focused page for each therapy format, specialty and evaluation type, with clear headings, FAQs and a booking path.
LOCAL SEO FOR PRACTICES
Google Business Profile review, consistent name, address and phone details, and location signals on your site.
TECHNICAL SEO
Speed, mobile layout, indexing, redirects and structured data so Google can find and understand every page.
CONTENT FOR CLIENT QUESTIONS
Service FAQs and helpful guides built around what your clients ask, reviewed by you before publishing.
LINKS AND MENTIONS
Relevant directories and websites, not bulk link packages.
Standards We Follow
On Mental Health Websites
No promises. We do not promise treatment outcomes, rankings or client numbers.
Accurate credentials. License wording matches each clinician's status, for example licensed, registered or associate. Clinical details come from you or your clinicians, and you approve them before anything is published.
Privacy first. Tracking stays at the page and button level, and forms should not collect clinical details. Check any handling of client information with your compliance advisor, and confirm advertising rules for your license with your licensing board or counsel. We are not a law firm.
Examples From Our
Work With Practices
Dr. Salloni Nanda, licensed psychologist, Seattle, WA. Autism and ADHD evaluations and anxiety and OCD therapy in Seattle and by telehealth across Washington. In April 2026 we optimized four existing pages on her Wix site (drsalloni.com) and built seven new evaluation and treatment pages from content supplied by the practice.
Search Console data for all countries compares January to March 2026 with May to October 2026. Monthly average impressions rose from about 130 to about 1,270, monthly average clicks from about 17 to about 76, and the number of queries shown from 13 to 393. A large share of clicks is for the practice name, so read this as growth in visibility for service searches, not as a ranking guarantee. Searches such as adult autism evaluation in Seattle now bring some visits.
Therapy Worthwhile, Mission Viejo, CA. Therapy in Mission Viejo and online across California. When we started in February 2026, the site was on a limited site builder that blocked an XML sitemap, image alt text and other basic SEO settings, and only the 7 pages linked in the menu were indexed. After fixing what the builder allowed, we moved the practice to WordPress with redirects from the old pages. We then built 11 service pages covering individual, couples, family, teen, trauma and PTSD, addiction, grief and loss, parenthood and postpartum, anxiety and OCD, EMDR and depression therapy. We also fixed the contact form so full submission details reach the practice, enabled structured data and fixed accessibility issues flagged on the homepage (therapyworthwhile.com).
We will add search results for this site once we have a full before and after comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions
New pages usually need several weeks to be crawled and indexed, and ranking changes often take a few months. Timing depends on competition in your area, the current state of your site and how many service pages you have. We review Search Console at 28 days and again at three months.
No. Nobody can guarantee rankings, and we do not make promises about client numbers. We report what changed in impressions, clicks, queries and enquiries so you can judge the work.
You or your clinicians provide or approve the clinical details. We structure, edit and optimize the content for search, and nothing is published without your review.
Yes. We target state level and service searches and make the states you serve clear on each page. Google Business Profile has its own eligibility rules, so we check what your practice qualifies for before promising map visibility.
